About
I'm a Japanese university student who spent 9 months at an American arts high school with no Japanese allowed. This site is where I process what that did to my brain—and share it with anyone going through something similar.
Started a full-immersion exchange year at Idaho Arts Charter School. Day one: understood maybe 40% of what was happening around me. Smiled a lot.
Returned to Japan after 9 months. My English was different. My Japanese felt slightly foreign. Passed Eiken 準1級 shortly after. The test is in Japanese; my brain was in English.
Faculty of Law, Politics & Economics. Started freelance writing about study abroad and English learning on Crowdworks. Started this site.
Posting about language, exchange life, and things I wish someone had told me before I got on the plane. Building small web tools on the side.
